| Albert Transport’s company is definitely a family one… |
| Albert’s father arrived in Moorea in 1925, from Zurich, in Switzerland. He couldn’t feel like leaving his paradise found, and so established himself as a fisherman and a farmer, true to Polynesian lifestyle. He then slowly built a little motel, namely motel Albert, still active today. Albert, born in 1939, began working very young, doing all kind of jobs in Tahiti and Moorea, till 1961, when he had saved enough to buy himself a second-hand « 4L » to use as taxi. | ||||
| Hard working brought him a better car, and eventually an old bus, thus initiating Albert’s succes story, consecrated in Madrid in 1999 with the international award for best excursions. |

| Albert’s extended family (12 chidren, 19 grandsons) now plays an important part in the local economy. Albert often jokes about having a big family as the best way for him to rule the island, and that he is still actively working on enlarging it. | ||||
| His children, while growing up, began to work on taxis, scooter and car rentals, land and sea excursions, pearl businesses, for the greatest pleasure of thousands of tourists. | |||||||||||||||
