The adventure began 40 years ago, when three young Californian men,
Hugh Kelley, Jay Carlisle and Muck McCallum created the Bali Hai Hotel,
after the name of a famous book and movie by James Michener.

The Bali Hai Boys gained fame in USA
with writer Eugene Burdick and a photographer from LIFE.
Young and enthusiastic for Polynesia, they soon were the social
center of Moorea, with famous parties, and their "Liki Tiki" canoe...
